In The Australian newspaper today, mention was made about Legal Aid’s Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) conferences and how they have helped about 75% of their participants reach a resolution of their Family Court children’s matters, without the need to attend a final trial. This is a fantastic achievement, for Legal Aid, supporting practitioners and (most importantly) the parents who worked hard within their conflict to reach a resolution at a difficult stage.
